Virginia Cava
Small Works
Virginia Cava is an engineer, artist and designer, living and working in Southold, NY. A New York City native, she relocated to the North Fork of Long Island after vacationing on the East End since her teens. In addition to discovering the quiet and tranquility here so conducive to the creative process, she finds inspiration in the area’s natural beauty, and in the local arts community. Ms. Cava’s travels have inspired a number of prints, collages and assemblies that serve as a travel diary, and her interest in flora, fabrics and materials from around the world has provided materials for much of her paper and textile constructions. Her work has been shown at the Brooklyn Museum, the Alex Ferrone Gallery, the John Guild Hall Clothesline Show in East Hampton, and the Mattituck-Laurel, Hampton Bays and Floyd Memorial Libraries, the Love Lane Kitchen, The Giving Room, and the East End Arts Member’s Exhibit, as well as in private collections in the US and Europe.
