Q: IS THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE GREENPORT THEATRE $1M?

A: No. Josh Sapan is generously gifting the Greenport Theatre to the North Fork Arts Center which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. His only requirements being that we assemble a qualified Board, raise $1M to facilitate operating costs, and show there is actual support in the community for such an endeavor.

Q: WILL THE THEATER OFFER MORE THAN MOVIES?

A: Yes. NFAC is going to be a true cultural hub, offering movies, arts and education, including live performances, fine art exhibitions, lecture series, and hands-on arts training.

Q: WHEN WILL THE THEATER OPEN?

A: Our goal is to open the doors to the community on Dec 26th with the “Holiday Film Series” which will run for three days. Exact movie times will be announced at the beginning of December 2023.

Q: HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?

A: That’s an easy one! Just head over to our “Get Involved” page where you can sign up to volunteer using our form. There are many ways to help, so just let us know what your superpower is!

Q: WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BECOME A FOUNDING MEMBER?

A: If you make a donation in this initial fundraising drive to help us secure the theater, you will receive name recognition in the Greenport Theatre as a Founding Member.
