The North Fork Arts Center is seeking an energetic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Concessions Specialist. As the Concessions Specialist, you will play a key role in creating a delightful and memorable experience for our patrons by managing concessions, including popcorn, soft drinks, and canned alcoholic beverages.
Responsibilities:
Concessions Operation:
Prepare and serve high-quality popcorn, soft drinks, and canned alcoholic beverages.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the concessions area.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in food and beverage preparation.
Cashless Point of Sale:
Operate a cashless point-of-sale system efficiently.
Handle transactions accurately.
Reconcile sales at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies.
Alcoholic Beverage Sales:
Verify age and adhere to legal regulations when selling canned alcoholic beverages.
Provide information on available alcoholic beverage options and promotions.
Customer Service:
Assist patrons in selecting concessions items and provide recommendations.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a friendly and professional manner.
Ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the concessions area.
Assistance to Patrons:
Assist patrons with carrying concessions to their seats.
Provide information about showtimes, seating arrangements, and other theater-related inquiries.
Collaborate with Theater Manager and other staff to address customer needs.
Requirements:
18 Years or Older
Previous experience in a customer service or concessions role is preferred.
Ability to handle a cashless point-of-sale system, with basic troubleshooting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
Responsible and able to handle alcoholic beverage sales in compliance with legal regulations.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Job Description:
The North Fork Arts Center is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as a Theater Manager / Projectionist. In this dual role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our theater, focusing not only on general management but also on the technical aspects of film projection. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with technology, have basic computer proficiency, and be willing to undergo training for projectionist responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Projectionist Duties:
Operate and maintain projection equipment; training will be provided.
Schedule and oversee film screenings, ensuring their timely and smooth presentation.
Troubleshoot technical issues with projection and sound equipment in real-time.
Coordinate with NFAC film booking partner for the delivery and return of film files.
Concessions Management:
Supervise and train concessions staff.
Monitor inventory levels of snacks, beverages, and other concession items.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the concession area.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of all public areas, restrooms, and theaters.
Coordinate with concessions and cleaning staff to ensure daily and deep cleaning tasks are completed.
Address any maintenance issues promptly.
Inventory Control:
Manage inventory levels of popcorn, promotional materials, and other supplies.
Conduct regular audits to track and reconcile inventory.
Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service to enhance the overall theater experience.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally.
Ticketing and Ushering:
Assist in ushering guests to their designated theaters and seats.
Work with volunteers to scan tickets and ensure a smooth entry process.
Provide assistance at self-service ticketing booths.
Requirements:
18 years or older
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of theater operations, concessions management, and inventory control.
Technical aptitude and comfort with projection equipment; training will be provided.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role is beneficial, particularly in a theater or hospitality setting.
